Delmarva Dodge

Hi everyone. I just joined your site today 3/19/11 and looking forward to meeting you all. Alittle about me. I'm a 47 year old male that has always been a Mopar fan since I was a kid. I think it was back when the first time my dad took me to a truck pull. There was this hot looking truck that I liked and it came down to the finals and my dad asked me which one was going to win and I said the red one. He said "that's a Mopar, I'll bet ya the blue Chevy wins." I had no idea what a Mopar was but I liked the name and sure enough it won with a full pull, kicked that Chevy's a$$. It was a great time.
Anyways, I now have a '97 Ram 4x4 standard cab, short box that I bought 8 years ago (love the looks of the 2nd gen.). After a couple weeks I put a 3" suspension lift on it with 32" wheels. A few months later, I put a 3" body lift on it. The wheels looked to small so I then put 35" on. I drove it around for a couple years, really enjoying it. After awhile it started to run bad so I parked it telling myself that I would fix it. Well it sat for four years before I finally dragged it out of the weeds. There was some rust on it, the frame was really bad with rust and it ran really bad. Decided to pull the motor and bed off with the intent of rebuilding the motor, fixing the rust holes and grinding down the frame with a wire brush and painting it. One thing led to another, cam was wasted, bent connecting rod, alot of work wire brushing a frame with not to much success. So I decided to do a complete tear down, all the way to the frame and then rebuild it. I had the frame powder coated, started putting the suspension back together with alot of new and old (all cleaned, blasted, and powder coated) parts. The motor is a stroked 408 thats about half done so far. For the last two years with a little here and alittle there as time and money permit, its getting there.
Thats about it. Sorry for the long post. Here's a few pics.
